EPA TACTICAL MEDICAL COURSE

On 7-10 March the EPA's Medical Training Center – conducted a Tactical Medical Course in Salerno/Italy using our Mobile Training Team – MTT. The course - reserved for Military and Police operators - focused on the down/injured operator's rescue and medical treatment under real combat conditions. Upon successful completion of all requirements students were awarded the US Police and US Army Medic badges and certificates.


QUICK EXERCISE OVERVIEW

Tactical Medical Course designed for the individual with basic skills & experience from the military and law enforcement fields. The course held by our Medic Training Center's MTT is an intensive tactical medic course that will instruct, challenge and motivate you. Each block of instruction has been thoughtfully developed using experiences from intense international combat operations to complex civilian situations. The days will be fast paced, high energy and productive. This intensive tactical medic course will teach you the absolute latest tactics and techniques of Army, SWAT and Tactical Medics. During this course you will train during both day and night under realistic combat conditions with full equipment. You will learn to move, to treat and recover your wounded team mates while under fire. You will learn tactics for moving as a combat medic team to the wounded, assessing and treating them and then moving your comrades to safety – while fighting your way both in and out!!! Anyone can teach you First Aid… only the European Paratroopers Association will teach you to save the lives of your Military and Police brothers as a Combat Medic!!!!! At the end of the course you will be awarded Police and Military Field Medic qualification.

Fundamentals of Tactical Medical; History of Tactical Operation Medical Support; Concepts of Tactical EMS/ABC; Movement/Carries; Triage/Containment; Assaults/withdraw; Medical Care Under Fire; Concepts of Self/Small Team EMS; Tactical Trauma/Emergencies; Rapid Remote Assessments; Medical Threat Assessments; Acute trauma responses by first responders; Sensory Deprived; Sensory Overload; Active Gunman; Tactical Officer Rescue; Casualty Evacuations Under Stress; Down Team Rescue.
